Every time that I get to machine quilt a quilt for a client that is made from one of our patterns my little heart is so happy! It's such an honor and compliment.
Katrina made this beautiful version of our Typhoon quilt pattern. She made the throw size and then sent it to me for some custom machine quilting. Katrina loved how I had machine quilted the original version so she asked me to quilt hers similar to mine.
In my original version of Typhoon I used solid fabrics for my background fabric, which really help the machine quilting to pop. In Katrina's version she used a small print for the background, we were a bit worried that the machine quilting wouldn't pop as much as mine, but I think the end result is fabulous! I love everything about this quilt.
Pattern for this quilt is Typhoon from our book; Cabin Fever: 20 Modern Log Cabin Quilts.
