Ruth pieced and applique'd this beautiful Christmas quilt. She brought it to me and asked me to custom machine quilt it for her. Quilts like this one, with a lot of little details are always so much fun to machine quilt and really bring to life.
I custom machine quilted, using several different thread colors around each of the blocks and borders. I combined feathers, straight lines, pebbles, swirls, ruler work, echoing and clams. There is really some of everything on this quilt, but the quilting motifs all go together so nicely.
I just love how this quilt turned out! I'm still having so much fun preparing for Christmas and quilting fun Christmas quilts just adds to the excitement!
