Brittany hand embroidered this darling red-work Winter Wonderland quilt. It's so cute! I'm not patient enough to do handwork like this, but it's just so gorgeous and I love it.
Brittany brought me this fun quilt and asked me to custom machine quilt it for her.
I knew that this quilt need quite a bit of detail, I really wanted to make each block pop, but also, really wanted to embroidery pop. With my machine quilting I outlined all of the red-work and then quilted fun background fillers around each block to really add some fun details.
I machine quilted swirls in the background and then wavy lines in the bottom, I like to give snowy areas the look of snow.
In the top section I machine quilted swirls, echoing, pebbles and even some cross-hatching.
