Thelma made this beautiful "First Snow" quilt and sent it to me for some custom machine quilting. Thelma did a fabulous job piecing this quilt and right away I knew that it needed some ruler work to really enhance the piecing.
I used some of my favorite machine quilting rulers from The Quilted Pineapple along with my 4-N-1 machine quilting ruler and went to work. Most often when I do detailed custom quilting I like to use Quilters Dream Wool batting. I love the extra bit of texture that the wool batting adds to the quilts, but still keeps them very soft.

ReplyDeleteFantastic work on both quilt and quilting. I'm challenged to get my rulers out and get practicing again since I have a quilt almost completed that will need ruler work before 5/15 when my grandson graduates.
