Pottery Barn Inspired Baskets ~ A Free Tutorial

I love the look of the pottery barn but it's not always in my budget. Kathleen and I recently did little make-over on some simple baskets to give them a Pottery Barn look.
Here is how we did it!

We bought these fabric drawers at Target.
Then used 1/4 yard of some coordinating fabrics.

Now cut your fabric down to 42"x8"
Sew the fabric together, end to end, making it a long tube.
Press it in half, lengthwise making your tube a double sided tube.
Now sew the tube to the inside of the fabric basket. Sew all the way around the top edge.

Basket inside should look like the one above. Raw edge to the top, folded edge hanging down.

Now pull that folded edge out and around the outside of the basket.

Outside the basket will now look like the one in the image above.
Enjoy!

Fabrics for these baskets are "A Stitch In Color" for Moda Fabrics and are available for purchase here.

If you make some of these baskets we'd love to have you share yours in our flickr group.
