Similasan’s Homeopathic Nasal Spray {product review & a $100 Visa give-away}

I can't believe it's already springtime again. YAY! I love this time of year. I love my house after spring cleaning; I love watching the new growth on the trees, the new flowers, the grass turning from brown-snow-covered ugliness to happy green grass. It's all so pretty.
I love that it's almost time for summer!
The only thing I don't love about this time of year is allergy season. Blah! Each year both my husband and I suffer from seasonal allergies. He ends up getting an allergy shot each year, but I've held off. I'm a little worried about the steroid, so I have just tried to deal with the allergies. Not fun!
This year we are trying a new product, and we are super excited about it. We are trying Similasan Homeopathic Nasal Allergy Relief. I love the fact that it's an over-the-counter nasal mist. I have tried nasal sprays in the past and they have worked, but I have always needed a prescription from the doctor. I've tried Similasan's nasal mist a few times now, and I think it's pretty awesome! Some things I find cool about Similasan's homeopathic nasal mist are:
*The bottle is a great size and easy to carry with me when I'm on the go.
*It's super simple to use!
*I feel like it starts helping with my allergies very quickly.
*I also think it's pretty cool that they have a kids' cold and mucus relief! That can always come in handy for the little ones!
Some other facts that I find pretty cool about Similasan's Nasal Allergy Relief are:
**The mist works by stimulating the body's own natural ability to relieve nasal allergy symptoms (uh...sweet...) that means goodbye runny/itchy/burning nose, sneezing and congestion, chronic rhinitis, sinus pressure and post-nasal drip which are caused by allergies.
** Similasan's Nasal Allergy Relief is all-natural, chemical and preservative free, and it offers allergy sufferers like my husband and me a safe and effective relief without us having to worry about a rebound effect. That's important to us; it gives me peace of mind to know we are not putting chemicals into our bodies! Similasan's Nasal Allergy Relief is actually one of the only medicated preservative-free nasal decongestants for nasal allergies available.
**I was sent Similasan's Nasal Allergy Relief for this review by the nice folks at Similasan, but if I ever needed to find it on my own I'm glad to know that it is very easy to come by; it's available at Walgreens and at all the major online retailers.
** Finally, I found out Similasan products are made in Switzerland, are all produced to the highest quality of standards, and all use only 100% natural active ingredients!
All great news for us! We're thrilled to have found a natural product that also works in relieving our symptoms!
So...now it's time for you to let me know:

  1. Interesting, I've used their ear drops before, but this I didn't know about.

Most prep here involves planting seeds! :)

  2. Seasonal allergies are the pits! Springtime is so gorgeous but our family mostly stays inside because we all (5) suffer from severe allergies. I use prescription nasal spray but I'm always looking for something that isn't full of all those chemicals. I love that Similasan doesn't have that rebound effect that the doctors all warn us about.

I figure if I'm already going to be suffering I may as well deep clean the house from top to bottom around Spring.

I learned from my grandmother to flip the mattress and vacuum and i do that every spring as well as sweep under the bed and wash the curtains and windows...whew, I'm tired just thinking about it.

  46. I clean from top to bottom. Wash all of the windows inside and out and cutrains. clean our hardwood floors on my hands and knees and clean between the slats. In the spring I am a nut when it comes to cleaning. I guess I want to get rid of all of the winter funk. We live in the woods and have a dog and my husbands does chainsaw carving and it gets pretty icky around here. I just can't wait for spring to come and stay. This nose spray sounds great. I have allergies so bad and this would be so nice.

  51. Since spring only lasts about five minutes in the South, there's not much to get ready for. But I can tell the extreme shifts in temperature really do a number on my sinuses! I have been using a saline inhaler to see if that will help. Too early to tell, but I like "natural" remedies instead of ...er... "unnatural" ones. So I'd definitely be willing to give Similasan a try!

  76. My favorite thing - What I get so excited to do all winter - to prepare for spring is to start my seeds for plants for my garden. I have a great set up in my basement and I've got a quite a green thumb and can start almost anything from seed to plant. I start upwards of 250 plants from seed each spring and I love to watch them sprout and grow. They are like my babies.
