Swiss-Days

If you live in Utah I'm sure you've at least heard of Swiss Days, if not I'm sure you think this sounds crazy.... I live in a small town, actually, there are about 4 small towns close together and they have a combined total of about 23,000 people.
Every year on Labor Day weekend the little town of Midway hosts Swiss Days, they say that in that 2 day period about 60,000 people visit the town square/craft fair. It's crazy! All of the men, well most of them, complain about it and all of the women, most of them, love it and love to go shopping!
Since I've basically lived all my life in this small town I've always gone to Swiss Days, when I was in elementary school, our school put on the William Tell play every year as a part of the celebration, I was the narrator for four years and I still........a long time later have some of my lines memorized. :)
There are always a lot of booths with cute home decor and nick-nacks, but I'm more into fun things for my kiddos. So of course I had to buy them these darling hats! Aren't they the cutest things! :)
The hats are from The Little Hat Shop.
I also picked up a new lanyard from Dandime. I can't wait to put it to some good use this year at Quilt Market!
Hope you're all having a great Labor Day weekend.
I did get to run into Amy at Swiss Days!
Have you ever been to Swiss Days?

  1. Sounds like a fun time. I am hoping to move to Utah in the very near future, so I will have to keep this in mind for if and when I finally get there. Thanks for sharing.
