Alternating Stars - A Modern One-Block Quilt

Kathleen and I are so excited to begin sharing the quilts from our new book, Modern One-Block Quilts.

One of the most exciting things about this book, besides 22 quilt patterns are the size options. Each quilt pattern has included instructions for three sizes! How awesome is that!
Kathleen and I originally made all of the quilts in the largest size, (most are queen) so we thought it would be fun to go back through the book and re-make all 22 quilts in the smallest size, baby.
So, we've started at the beginning of the book and we have re-made the first quilt, Alternating Stars. We re-made this baby size in plum, gray and white. I love the color combo in this quilt.
This might be one of my very favorite quilts in the book, I love it so much because it totally looks like the quilt is made from two blocks, but it's not, it's just one block repeated.
This is the original version of Alternating Stars. The original version in made in aqua and brown. It's a pretty combination too and shown in queen size.

The original version is made using Dainty Blossoms by Carina Gardner for Riley Blake Designs.

The plum and gray version of Alternating Stars is made using Oval Elements by Art Gallery Fabrics and Moda Bella Solids. Machine quilted with a fun straight line quilting pattern, paper and digital versions of Straight Line Quilting are available for purchase here.

Modern One-Block Quilts can be purchased here.
