Pinwheel Baby Quilt

One of my sweet customers made this darling Pinwheel Baby Quilt using Jodi's tutorial. I machine quilted it for her and I love how it turned out!

I think I have self diagnosed myself with a horrible medical condition I've got.....
It's called QADD
Quilters Attention Deficit Disorder.
Yes, remember last week when I told you that I had two quilts in the works, well today I started another one. Help! Are you this same way? How do I stop starting projects?

  1. I think every quilter has QADD, so no worries! If you only have one quilt going at a time, you're not doing it right!!

My friend, Jenny, made this same quilt on Saturday at our Dallas Modern Quilt Guild sewing day. It turned out super cute, just like this one! Beautiful quilting!

  6. I've found that wanting to have something finished to post on Sew &Tell Fridays has helped keep me from having too many active projects at one time - if you are working on four projects, it's really hard to finish one!

  7. Funny you should say that....I was showing my neighbor tonight my projects (3 right now) that I've been working on and she asked me how I can do that! She asked me why I didn't finish one and then go on to the next one? Good question!! I guess the answer is: I don't want to! I also told her that I have 3 different books around the house that I'm reading, too :) She just shook her head.

    Love this baby quilt :)

  10. I think it is a quilter's 'thing'...I almost cut up the fabric to another quilt today and then stopped myself just in the nick of time...I have 5 projects 'on the go' right now!! ;o)

  11. First - that is a beautiful quilt!! I must make one. But, if I do, that would make 5 quilts that I am currently working on. And two inside me brain that are just bursting to come out!!!

  12. Glad to see Im not the only one with QADD. My boyfriend doesn't understand it, and he has regular ADD. LOL He's trying to get me to stop starting new projects until all my other ones are done. Ya like THAT is going to happen. Cute pinwheel quilt by the way... :)

  15. QADD is a prerequisite for being a quilter. But, sometimes it gets out of hand. I spread out my UFO's the other day and am overwhelmed. My problem is that I get so many good ideas from blogging, that I have to try every one. I'm going to buckle down and get to work on those projects that I've started and NOT START ANYTHING NEW! ~karen

  20. Ha! quess I've got it too! I have 3 in the works and plans and fabric for quite a few more... I say at this point in my life buying fabric and patterns IS my hobby...and when the kids are older I'll be able to sew more...

  21. ahh, so it has a name...does it have a support group?? I'm right there with you, and the fabric hoarding...can we throw in a little OCD too?
