Dyeing to Stitch Blog Tour

Today I get to share a cool new video with you. My friend Candy is awesome at dyeing fabrics and along with Quilting Arts she has created this fabulous dvd Dyeing to Stitch.
You can learn all about Candy over on her blog Candied Fabrics.
In this great video Candy is sharing all of  her secrets. The video is 70 minutes long and is broken up into chapters, making it super simple to follow the concept.
I've loved getting to know Candy through her blog but actually seeing on video what and how she does it is pretty dang cool!
I also loved the chapter on color theory, color is something that is so fascinating to me so it was really cool to hear it coming from her.
My very favorite part was when Candy shares her style of creating art. I love her style and dream of having one of her ipad covers
So... here is your opportunity to win your very own copy of Candies video Dyeing to Stitch.
Simply leave a comment telling me weather or not you've ever dyed fabric. I personally have not, but her video totally inspired me and now I really want to do it!
Winner will be announced 12/13/11
You can preview the video here.

  1. Once you have dyed your own fabric you won't go back. There's no substitute for the depth of color.

  3. Candie's DVD sounds great. I'm glad to see a DVD finally created for this topic.

I have dyed a couple of times, but always in groups with experts helping. Love it, but would certainly like to learn to be able to feel comfortable to do on my own.

  18. I have not dyed fabric, but it sounds like a good idea, particularly since I just moved a few months ago and I am having trouble finding quilting cottons. I have dyed clothing and even shoes, so it sounds logical to move to fabric next.
