Jean Ann pieced this beautiful quilt for her grand-son as a graduation gift. I'm thinking this is a pretty awesome gift!
Jean Ann sent it to me and asked me to custom machine quilt it for her. Jean Ann pretty much gave me permission to quilt it however I thought would be best.
Because the quilt is so crisp and precise I knew that I wanted to incorporate some crisp straight line quilting, but also a bit of curved machine quilting to play on the curves.
So, I machine quilted swirls, double pebbles and straight lines in all of the background, I teach these patterns in my book; Beginner's Guide to Free-Motion Quilting.
In the borders I quilted some straight lines, swirls and pebbles, then I stitched in the ditch around every single piece.
I really love how this quilt turned out! Thanks so much for letting me machine quilt your beautiful quilt Jean Ann!

Beautifully done as always! And this is a stunning quilt!
