Jessica made this darling Cakewalk quilt and sent it to me for some custom machine quilting. Jessica wasn't quite sure what she wanted, she just knew that she didn't want feathers or stipple. I can handle that! :)
When I saw this quilt I knew that with my machine quilting I could really bring a secondary pattern to life, I knew that I could machine quilt the background to really make it pop, and I love how it turned out!
To add extra texture I used Quilters Dream Wool batting. It's a bit warmer than the batting I generally used, but the extra texture that the wool helps to create is just perfect.
Jessica also asked me to sign her quilt. So, I picked one block and quilted it different from all of the rest of the blocks and then signed, with thread, my name. :)
I really love how this quilt turned out. Jessica's choice of gray fabric for the background is just perfect.
