Row Quilt - Custom Machine Quilting by Natalia Bonner

Okay, it's time to get caught up and share some of the beautiful quilts that I was able to machine quilt before Christmas.

This beautiful quilt was pieced by Kathy, row quilts are some of my favorite types of quilts to quilt. I love bringing each row of the quilt to life with my machine quilting, and this quilt was no different.

I wanted to keep it soft, but still add a modern flair to the quilt, so in the outer border I machine quilted some feathers, then in the patchwork border I machine quilted arcs, and then throughout the blocks I machine quilted a combination of feathers, straight lines and some swirls. I teach a lot of the motifs that I used while quilting this quilt in my book; Beginner's Guide to Free-Motion Quilting.
In the leaves and flowers border I machine quilted feathers and a few small details including leaves, then in the background I machine quilted double pebbles.
In these fun stars I machine quilted an orange peel variation in the center of the star with feathers swirling around the outside points.
In this fun star block I machine quilted another variation of an orange peel in the center of the block and then some more yummy feathers in the points, full feathers in the gray sections and half feathers in the blue sections.

Thanks for letting me machine quilt this beautiful quilt Kathy!
