Baby Owl Self Binding Receiving Blanket

When you are married into a family with nine, yes, you read that right, nine children there are always a lot of babies being born.
My sister-in-law recently had a new baby girl named June, so I made her a little self binding receiving blanket, my favorite!

I used those cute Michael Miller dot flannel fabrics.

Then I appliqued that little owl and embroidered her name.

I love how it turned out! So cute and cuddly! :)

Check out our self-binding receiving blanket tutorial here.

  2. Did you machine applique the owl? If so, did you use a stablizer on the back? Did you do it before or after you made the border?
