Here I am squeaking in right before the deadline.
No worries, I made it!
2012 has been quite a year for me... probably one of my very most memorable years... e.v.e.r.
For a couple of reasons, the most exciting, the birth of my baby boy, he's growing so fast, I can't believe he's already almost 8 months old.
Next most memorable thing, the birth of my book, Beginner's Guide to Free-Motion Quilting. Still can't believe that this dream came true this year.
Next, the new Moda Bake Shop book, Sweet Celebrations with the Moda Bake Shop Chefs.
I've always loved the Moda Bake Shop, (I have a new tutorial in the works) and I feel so honored that I was asked to contribute a few projects to the second book. The theme of the book is celebrations. I live in Utah and it seems like someone here is always having a baby... we love babies.. so how fitting is it to make a baby gift.
My mom and I designed "Out on a Line" this fun quilt and a coordinating banner.
When I made this quilt I knew that I was pregnant, I hadn't told anyone, my mom helped me come up with the idea for the quilt. I had no idea that I was expecting a boy.... but now it is so fitting that I made a baby boy quilt. :)
I can't wait for this fun quilt to come home and snuggle with my baby boy!
The pattern for this quilt is available in Sweet Celebrations with the Moda Bake Shop Chefs, I do have a few signed copies available here.
I also have a few signed copies of my book, Beginner's Guide to Free-Motion Quilting!
