ReplyDeleteI'm going to guess the missing word is favourite!!
ReplyDeleteMine was a quilt I made for my niece's wedding using my beloved Joel Dewberry fabrics!!
My favorite project was a bright yellow Christmas stocking for my niece. I found some beautiful glittery yellow fabric, sparkly material for the cuff and lined it with satin. She loves it!
ReplyDeleteMy favorite was a quilt with low volume prints and bright HST. Also...I like some advent calendars I have made. It is hard to pick one.
ReplyDeleteMy favorite quilt I have made is my xmas quilt from last year where I quilted all of my family member's names onto it.
ReplyDeleteMy first quilt-a ragg quilt for a baby!
ReplyDeleteMy favorite quilting projects are the baby quilts I made for my twin boys.
ReplyDeleteEvery one I make is my new favorite, but I really do love the astronomy-inspired quilt I just finished a lot.
ReplyDeleteI love surprising my friends and family with hand made gifts! One year I made oodles of pillow cases, and they still remark about them. Thanks for the fun!
ReplyDeleteI love making gifts for my friends, for Christmas and their birthdays. Right now I am making punch needle stars with a design in the center to get my gift giving a head start.

I'm a newbie quilter and fmq'er so I don't have too many completed projects to choose from yet. However, I did just finish a mini 29 x 29 quilt to hang in my stairwell that is a large star that I fmq'ed, and I'm pretty darn pleased with how it turned out!
ReplyDeleteOne of my favorites that I've made was for a "Movie Title" challenge - mine is called "The Birds".
ReplyDeleteI make most gifts I give...made two large Throws for our two Daughters last Christmas. I make all the Kiddo's new Jamma's every Christmas & now we have Grankiddo's added to the sewing! lol
ReplyDeleteThe gifts that I remember most, were the ones I was more excited about giving. One was the signature quilt I made my mom for her 80th birthday, the other was the "Bridge" shirt I made my husband to wear to his bridge games!
ReplyDeleteMy favorite Christmas project is a circular tree skirt I made with a DIY 9 degree ruler.
ReplyDeleteSomeone sent me a box of 1.5" strips that exploded when I opened it, all tangled and wrinkled. The note enclosed said, "I'm sending you this quilt kit..." Well, I patiently pressed all the strips and laid them out on the bed and sewed and sewed and sewed, making the cutest, sweetest little baby quilt for a young friend. I'd have to say that was my favorite project.
ReplyDeleteA lot of my sewing is for gifts and I like them all. It's especially nice when I feel I've found just the perfect thing to match the recipient's taste.
ReplyDeleteI made a very cool queen sized Halloween quilt for my brother last year. He was born on Halloween and helps me out with projects at my house so this was a little extra payback for all his help.
ReplyDeleteI made a Beatrix Potter baby quilt earlier this year. It was well received. :)

My Favorite Christmas Project was the time I made Pj's and Robes for my boys on Christmas EVE.
ReplyDeletelove that bag, thanks
ReplyDelete"...telling me your [ ] project you've ever made." Fill in the blank, huh? Cool. I'll tell you about the WORST project I've ever made. It was a lovely floral pin that combined a quilted base with petals and all kind of glitzy embellishments. It actually was beautiful--and the recipient agreed; however, it ended up being about five inches wide. I wonder if she put it on the wall? Now I'll choose the CRAZIEST project I ever made. It was a quilt I hand made one day when my little daughter and I were sick with the flu and camped out on the couch. I'd made her a little stuffed cat doll; so naturally I had to make a tiny quilt, right? I pieced together one-inch fabric samples! Nuts and difficult. But I finished and quilted it and even added tiny fringe. Thanks for asking! --Laura
ReplyDeleteMy favorite projects are totes for friends and family. Would love to win the bag.
ReplyDeleteI want to make at least one of everything.
ReplyDeleteI just gave away my first completed lap quilt, so excited!
ReplyDeleteLooks like a do-able messenger bag pattern, too!
ReplyDeleteSeveral years ago, my sister and I were on a 'girls weekend' trip. We saw a pin in a quilt shop. Later on, for her birthday, I copied and made the pin for her from a doily, yo-yos, and scrap fabrics. Thanks for the opportunity.
ReplyDeleteI made a lap quilt for a very dear friend who kept it close to her till the end. It was the most appreciated gift I ever made.
ReplyDeleteMost recently I made some wonky house blocks for a friend. It sure was a challenge because I attempted raw-edge applique, which I had never tried before. She was thrilled with the blocks, so I guess I did a good job. -- soparkaveataoldotcom
ReplyDeleteMy favorite handmade gifts were handbags for my granddaughters.
ReplyDeleteMy favorite gift is a quilt I am making for my Father-in-Law for Christmas this year.
ReplyDeleteOne of the first quilts I made was a flannel holiday quilt, made for my parents.
ReplyDeleteI was thinking about making stockings for everyone this Christmas!!
ReplyDeleteThe first project I ever made was an applique elephant potholder!
ReplyDeleteMy favorite quilt project was a challenge piece I did for an online group. It is something I would not have made without the challenge.
ReplyDeleteMy favourite gift I made was a quilt for my daughter earlier this year. It was a simple design - thick & thin stripes which really showed off the beautiful and colourful fabric I used.
ReplyDeleteGreat book, super patterns and at $9.99 an incredible price for such detailed patterns. Its inspirational for those people who are so hard to find gifts for.
ReplyDeleteLast Christmas I made a machine embroidered wall quilt for a sewing/embroidery friend who frequently invites several of us over for sew/embroider days in her LARGE sewing room.

I like to work on table toppers and wall hangings that include hand applique. I'm currently working on a fall runner using blacks, oranges, and gold for a scrappy look. Pumpkins, vines and leaves will be appliqued on the long borders.
ReplyDeleteMy favorite and most appreciated.project s a comforter I sewed for my son that matched his curtains. He still uses it.
ReplyDeleteMy favorites are zipper pouches and bags but lap quilts are gaining as my skills improve.
