Bella Solids Quilt - Instagram-along

I started my typical day today by loading a beautiful quilt on my long-arm machine. After I loaded it I shared a quick picture of the quilt on Instagram. There was a lot of love happening over there for Sherri's quilt.

After I shared the first picture and then machine quilted the first row I decided it would be fun to share my progress through as I machine quilted the quilt.

The quilt isn't a huge quilt so I was able to custom machine quilt each row pretty quickly, and then share pictures of my progress. The positive feedback that I was receiving via instagram and facebook during the process made quilting the quilt so much fun! I think I'll do that again some time.

Machine quilting progress, row two.

Machine quilting progress, row three.
Then I finished the machine quilting. I decided instead of sharing row four on instagram I would just wait and share the final quilt here, where I could share bigger pictures.
I love how the quilt turned out.
It's such a crisp, fresh quilt.
Thank you to everyone that played along with me on instagram and facebook today! You made this process so much fun!

  9. I saw Sherri's quilt in progress on her blog, and then to see it in progress here on your blog is like getting a double-scoop of ice cream on a hot summer day! Really fabulous how the quilting enhances Sherri's creation, and how the quilting brings its own story into this beautiful quilt.

  14. LOVE this! Seriously amazing work! I have a random question - is there a reason you decided to quilt the circles in the center of only one block and leave out that common center square quilting? I'm guessing there was a thought process behind that and inquiring minds want to know. :D
