Jumbo Coins {a free baby quilt tutorial}

Baby quilts are my favorite thing to give as gifts to friends and family when they have a new baby. I'm always looking for something new and fun, but also simple to make. So today I've created this Jumbo Coins Baby quilt tutorial.

Hop on over to Moda Bake Shop to see the complete tutorial!

The quilt finishes at 58"x58" so it's a quilt that can be used into the toddler years.

And of course no quilt that I make could be complete without a little appliuqe!
Yes I love applique!

Last but not least, the machine quilting. I had never used the Moda Snuggles before so I decided that this quilt would be the perfect time to try it out! Let me just tell you, this will not be the last time that I use it! It is AWESOME! I love how it quilted and it was very nice to work with!
Kits for this fun quilt are available over at Burgundy Buttons.

  8. I wanted to thank you for sharing this easy pattern with us. I used it to make a wonderful quilt that I managed to pull completely from my stash. You can find the whole story about it on my blog (http://beccascrazyprojects.blogspot.com/2013/07/twister.html).

    I also wanted to ask you if I could modify this pattern to fit into the size commonly used for Quilts For Kids quilts. While they will take any size, it would be nice to fit it into their size requirements. It also cuts down on the amount of backing fabric required since Quilts For Kids quilts shouldn't have a backing other than quilter's cottons.
