Sheila pieced this fantastic Union Jack quilt.
Last year I had machine quilted a Swoon quilt for her and she loved how it turned out, so again she gave me free reign on this quilt.
I wanted to keep the machine quilting simple yet effective, so I machine quilted a wavy line that echos itself. I really love how it turned out.
I wish each one of you were at my studio today so you could see and feel the texture that I was able to create on this quilt, sometimes I feel like camera's just can't capture it all. :)
Sheila also made a pretty awesome Union Jack quilt back.

ReplyDeleteMy kids are half British (their Dad is from Scotland and I am Canadian). My teenager would die for a Union Jack quilt. He has a huge old flag hanging on one of his bedroom walls. Like the earlier poster would love to know where your friend found the pattern. Thanks.
