Last week I spent several days custom machine quilting this stunning Fire Island Hosta quilt, it's a Judy Niemeyer pattern. It's absolutely stunning. Quiltique, an adorable quilt shop in Las Vegas, NV will be making this quilt in a class in 2015. You will be able to check out the quilt in person, or make one yourself at Quiltique!
When the ladies at Quiltique asked me to machine quilt this I was very flattered. The time that went into the piecing of this quilt is just incredible.
I had to take several pictures of the finished quilt. I machine quilted the quilt with a few thread color changes, because the quilt is already so breathtaking I wanted my machine quilting to add to, and not take away from the piecing.
I shared this picture of the backing over on Instagram and Facebook when I finished the quilt. I love when a quilt backing turns out to be a work of art itself.
I hope you all have a very Merry Christmas, I'll be spending a few days with my family and be back to quilting next week!
Fabulous! I have a Judy N quilt - Glacier Star - top that I finished and the thought of quilting it is so overwhelming. You did a fantastic job!
