Urban Chrundash - A Simple Sew-Along - Cutting Instructions

All right! I hope you're all still as excited as I am for this sew-along! If you're just joining in, make sure to pick up your fabric requirements here.

Today we get to cut all of our fabrics, and then next Monday I'll share the first step in sewing our Urban Churndash quilts.
Below are the cutting instructions. Because I am making my quilt scrappy, I will be cutting one block at a time. I have listed the cutting instructions for one block below. If you're going to make all of your blocks in the same fabrics you will just need to multiply your cutting by nine blocks.

These are my fabrics all cut and ready to begin sewing, I love that this quilt is going to be a little more masculine.
I'm super excited to get sewing on this quilt, I'll be sharing my progress on Facebook & Instagram using #urbanchurndashsewalong. I hope you'll join in with me.

  3. Sashing 24 1/2" × 72 1/2" is this correct?

  4. Can I get some clarification on the sashing cuts? Is that sashing for the whole quilt top not just one square? Should these longest pieces be cut first? And if the quilt is 72X72 square, can I cut 4 of these 72 1/2 strips? Maybe a layout of how they will be used will help me cut them efficiently. Love a churn dash so hoping to keep up with you. 5. I'm jumping in. I've had this little stack of fabric sitting on the shelf and it is wanting to get chopped up! Who can resist churn dashes? Will there be a linky party? Is there a flickr site or anything like that?

  6. I assume you are using fat quarters since you showed that stack. Are there fabric requirements for a fat quarter version? Can you get all the color pieces you need from two fat quarters for each block?
