Two Paths Crossed - Irish Chain Quilts: Contemporary Twists on a Classic Design {win a free e-book}

I'm sure you've all already seen this adorable new book; Irish Chain Quilts: Contemporary Twists on a Classic Design. Well, I'm honored to say that Melissa Corry, the author is my friend!

Melissa's new book was just recently released and I have been stalking her for a while waiting for this book! She did a fantastic job taking a traditional quilt pattern and making it modern, yet still timeless.

The book features 15 quilt patterns and you're going to want to make every single one of them.

Melissa is going to be putting together a charity quilt so she has asked each of the bloggers in her book tour to make one of the blocks from her book. I chose to make a block from Two Paths Crossed.
This quilt actually has two blocks, the star and the chain block, I chose to make the chain block in red and gray, (it's the block up at the top of the post. It's adorable isn't it!

There are several other fun bloggers who are sharing little insights into this book, make sure to check them out each day, several of them have give-aways going on, and Melissa has got a great give-away at the end of this fun book tour.

  21. Of course, the first thing I started thinking about is wondering what fabrics I would want to use in this beautiful quilt. Usually an answer doesn't really come to me, but this time it did, loud and clear! I would want to use the teal and green of Mimosa with the red being the small accent color. I have had some Mimosa fabríc for a while and I have waited to find just the right project for it. It is one of my favorite fabríc lines! So, needless to say, I would love to win this e-book! iI truly love this quilt pattern! Thank you for the opportunity!
