I love making baby quilts, they are fast, and always give me that sense of instant gratification that sometimes I just crave.
My friends over at It's Sew Emma & Fat Quarter Shop have just released an adorable new book, Fat Quarter Baby. Each quilt in the book is a baby quilt made from just fat quarters, how cute is that!
The book is adorable and features 20 baby size quilts.
I recently made my own version of "Katherine" one of the girly quilts from the book.
The original version of "Katherine" was made in soft grays, pinks and whites, I am totally crushing on Cotton + Steel right now so I though it would be fun to make my version with some Cotton + Steel fabric. The colors are a bit more bold and I love how it turned out.
I chose to machine quilt my baby quilt with a modern cross-hatch pattern. Sometimes those crisp straight lines are just perfect!
I love how this quilt turned out, it's so perfect, sadly, I just don't have anyone in my life with a little girl on the way, so I've listed this quilt for sale in my etsy shop. Hop over there to check out my quilts for sale.
It`s just fantastic and love the fabric combo!
