Last summer I traveled to Las Vegas and taught a few machine quilting and piecing classes at Quiltique. The students in my classes were fabulous and I had such a great time teaching there. One of my students, Jeanne, finished her Incline quilt and then brought it to me for some custom machine quilting. Jeanne loved how I had custom machine quilted the original version and asked me to quilt her quilt like mine.
I had so much fun custom machine quilting this Incline quilt for Jeanne, I actually think I like it better than the original version. Although I machine quilted it basically the same, I did a little bit different background filler and I think it makes the feathers pop a bit more. :)
In the background I combined clams, double pebbles and swirls, I teach how-to quilt all of these patterns in my book; Beginner's Guide to Free-Motion Quilting.
The pattern for this quilt can be found in our book; Cabin Fever: 20 Modern Log Cabin Quilts.
Thanks for letting me machine quilt your darling quilt Jeanne!
