How to: Simple Spring Mini Quilt - Sunday Stitches

Hey there! So, I guess this week I am feeling extra generous! I shared a Sunday Stitches post a little early this week, but, since yesterday was National Quilting Day and the first day of Spring was on Friday I felt cheery and wanted to share another fun tutorial.

Before I get started I just have to say, thank you so much to everyone that shares these tutorials, seeing that you all like them enough to share them makes my heart so happy!

This mini quilt is the perfect quick project to add a little bit of spring color to your house. I love to use mini quilts as table toppers, or hang them in my sewing room.

This little quilt will finish at 15" square.
(The outer pink border is the binding.)

How to: Continuous Line Cross Hatching - On a Long Arm Machine - Sunday Stitches

I just finished up the machine quilting on this beautiful Irish Chain quilt. When MaryAnn sent me this quilt she asked me to machine quilt it with a cross-hatching pattern. The fabrics are super bright, and the quilt takes on a more "modern" feel, so she wanted it keep it simple, yet very clean with traditional cross hatching. Honestly, I wouldn't have thought to cross hatch across the whole quilt, but I'm so glad she had the vision and the idea. I love the result! I think it's just perfect.

I have wanted to continue the series, or do something like it, but didn't want to burn myself out. After a lot of thinking I have finally found an idea that I think will work great for me. I'm calling this series Sunday Stitches
