Stephanie pieced this super duper cute Christmas quilt. She's ahead of schedule for next year. :)
She brought it to me for machine quilting, she liked the way I had quilted my Skittles quilt so she wanted something similar in the black background.
You can't tell much from this picture but this quilt is the perfect example, in my opinion, of when you should use black batting. I used Quilters Midnight Dream batting, it quilted beautifully and I love the result that it helped to create in Stephanie's quilt.
Thanks for letting me machine quilt your darling Christmas quilt Stephanie!
All of the machine quilting techniques that are shown on this quilt are taught in my book, Beginner's Guide to Free-Motion Quilting.
It's a beautiful quilt! But there's only one thing missing... Can you guess? Yes, the chimney! :) Love the fonts She used and the style of the quilt, it's so interesting to see everything on the black background. The quilting is fantastic, as it is always! Love the escargot and pebble combination! And the favorite swirls, of course! :)
ReplyDeleteThis is just gorgeous! Now did you free motion those swirls and pebbles here? I love love your swirls in the one stocking! I bought your book and am working on mastering my swirl. I just love how yours looks! Now to master mine!
ReplyDeleteBeautiful! Love the little pebbles and swirl combo! So cute.
ReplyDeleteI love how her quilt came out and of course your quilting is really perfect for the piece. I do have that book and that is one on my to do list.
