Yesterday I spent the day custom machine quilting. I feel like I've been out of my groove since Christmas, this quilt was so refreshing and the perfect thing to get me back in my groove!
Lisa owns a cottage in Traverse City, MI, the Cherry capitol of the world, so she said that this quilt will be perfect in there. I have to agree!
There is something about cherries that just make you smile, they are just so happy!
I had a lot of fun custom machine quilting this quilt for her. There is a lot of negative space to I added in a few feather medallions, I love the little bit of detail that they added to the already adorable quilt.
This pattern was originally designed by Joanna Figeuroa of Fig Tree & Co. Joanna will be in Utah teaching and sharing her quilts at Small Town Quilt Show - In a Big Town Way, this summer, June 26-28, 2014. Registration for those classes is now open and we'd love to see you there.
Fun and cheerie! You did magic in the negative space. There sure was a lot of it!! Really makes those bright red cherries pop out!!
