Bow Ties is quilt number five in our new book.
Bow Ties is a fun, template pieced quilt. Some of the pieces are small, but the end result is worth the time. When these blocks are set together in diagonal rows, they create a secondary diagonal pattern that elevates this quilt to a new interest level.
When we originally made this quilt I really loved the pattern, but when Kathleen got the idea to re-make this quilt in mustard and ivory I fell in love! I am so in love with the mustard color right now.
This version of Bow Ties is made using Charley Harper by Birch fabrics, we purchased this fabric a few months back when we visited Suppose, a quilt shop in Preston, ID.
I machine quilted this version of Bow Ties with our Interlocking Flowers pattern. I love this pattern, you can purchase the digital version here.
The original version of Bow Ties was pieced with Madrona Road by Violet Craft for Michael Miller Fabrics. It's fun to see how differently the quilt looks with the dominate fabric being the pink.
I custom machine quilted the original version. It's so fun to see the different versions.
