Holly over at Moda Fabrics pieced this darling Lush Uptown quilt. When Hollly sent me this quilt she included a picture of an antique quilt, made from the same pattern, and asked me to machine quilt this one just like the original.
Challenge accepted!
Antique, hand-quilted quilts have way less quilting than I typically do, but I love when the machine quilting compliments the piecing. I'm so glad that Holly had the idea to machine quilt this quilt like the original version. I love what it did for the quilt.
Have a nice day!
It's just perfect!!
ReplyDeleteWow. I'd love to see this bound and put through the washing machine....I bet it would look so "antique". Great job!
ReplyDeleteI love it too and the less is more idea for quilting this one was just perfect.
ReplyDeleteThat is just gorgeous! Sometimes less quilting can bet better:)
ReplyDeleteLooks awesome Natalia! Great job.
ReplyDeleteLovely....
ReplyDeleteLove this quilt. Saw the antique version in a Fall 2005 Country Quilts magazine and kept a copy. Where might I find a pattern for this quilt? Any help you can give will be greatly appreciated.
ReplyDeleteGood morning... just got an email from a friend, she's staying with a family member, they found a family quilt of this pattern. Their question to me was, what is the name of this quilt pattern? I've found some similar patterns that have centers minus the 9 patch... Dolly Madison's Work Box and/or Cushion Design.
ReplyDeleteHelp with the original names or names would be greatly appreciated.
Thank you
