Modern Building Blocks Quilt - Custom Machine Quilting

The last couple of days have been really fun, custom machine quilting this adorable quilt for April! You might remember when I machine quilted the original version of the Modern Building Blocks quilt for Moda Fabrics a year or so ago, I had so much fun with that quilt I've been dying to quilt another one. Machine quilting on solid fabrics is so much fun.

April made this quilt, it's a gift for her soon-to-be daughter-in-law! How awesome is that!! She wants the quilt to be loved, so she asked me to custom machine quilt it, but not so dense that it would be stiff.
So, I got to work, just me, my machine and a ruler. I am in love with the final result. I hope it's loved for years to come. :)

    Very pretty! May I ask what color thread you chose? It seems to blend in to both the light and dark colors in this quilt!

    This is just stunning! I really like the straight-line (ruler) quilting with the solid colors. It really makes all the blocks just pop off the quilt.

    IT is beautiful. I didn't know we could quilt with polyester. I thought it was to be cotton all the way through. Is that just another thread company saying this? Because I have thought about buying this color several times. Thank you
