Tiny Blocks - Custom Machine Quilting by Natalia Bonner

I've had a busy week of custom machine quilting. Just how I like it! Patti made this adorable quilt with those teeny tiny blocks. I think the strips are only about 1/2" wide, yeah, I said tiny....and her piecing is perfect!

Patti asked me to custom machine quilt this quilt for her, she really wanted the quilt to just turn out beautiful and, she is going to scallop the borders.
If you ever decide that you want a scalloped border I recommend that you do just as Patti has done with this quilt. Use a pen and mark your scallops on the borders, do NOT cut the scallop before quilting. By doing this I was able to machine quilt a flower in the center of each of the scallops and then when Patti gets the quilt back she can trim along that line and then bind the quilt.
It'll be adorable with the scallops around those flowers. :)

  6. I really love it and that is a great tip. I've never considered putting a scallop border on a quilt yet but I might some day.
