Last week I spent a couple of days custom machine quilting this beautiful Boxy Stars quilt for Jane. When Jane sent me this quilt she asked me custom machine quilt it for her, and she really gave me the go-ahead to quilt it as I pleased.
I decided to quilt swirls in the background, and frame each of the blocks and stars with a 1/2" border. I love how it just added a tiny bit of detail but doesn't feel like it's taking anything away from the piecing. I also quilted some figure 8's and some point to point quilting in the block centers.
I think it turned put pretty dang cute! :)
After I took the quilt off the long-arm I knew it was going to have a pretty cool looking backing, so of course I had to snap a picture.
Thanks for letting me machine quilt your beautiful quilt Jane!
