I recently machine quilted this fun quilt for Jane. Jane made this quilt completely from neck ties. It's actually a bit of a memory quilt. One of her uncles was a funeral director, so he had many ties. He recently passed away so Jane used his ties to make this beautiful quilt.
She made the quilt on a foundation so there was no stretching, the quilt layed so nice and flat. It was very heavy so I actually used a wool batting to soften it up a bit.
Thanks for letting me machine quilt this beautiful quilt Jane!

What a wonderful way to celebrate your uncle's life in that way. The quilt will warm your heart each time you see a tie which has special meaning or induces a particular memory of your relationship. Wonderful job. Sorry for your loss but I'm sure your Uncle will have loved what you did with his ties! I too am collecting tie's with the hope one day to make a quilt with them too. Nice pattern and splendid quilting as always Judy.
