Susan made this beautiful star quilt and sent it to me for some custom machine quilting. I'm loving the bight stars with the white background, it's so crisp looking.
When Susan sent me her quilt we decided to keep the machine quilting more on the modern/straight line quilting side, and I couldn't be happier with the final result.
I machine quilted straight lines in all of the background, I used the straight side of the 4-N-1 machine quilting ruler and kept all of my lines 1/2" apart.
I used several different fun straight line fillers on the stars. I also chose to outline about 1/4" on the outside of most of the bigger stars, I liked how this just added an extra element of interest, but I don't feel like it took away from the quilt.

this is a gorgeous quilt and your quilting definitely takes it to the next level. I admire your design eye. I piece and quilt on a Janome 9400 and am interested in your 4 in 1 ruler. Do you have any videos of you using it?
