Quilt Market Recap {Post #1}

I had the opportunity to spend the past weekend in Houston, Texas at International Quilt Market. This was my first time to attend and if you ask Krachel I looked like a kid in a candy store!
{Day 1}
I flew into Houston early on Saturday.
Krachel & Kathleen
Whitnee & I
 Our shuttle was late picking us up so we hung out at the airport for 1/2 an hour waiting for it.

I updated my whole journey and followed others on Twitter while there. As I landed in Houston I saw that Ty Pennington was there with his new fabric and I totally missed him! DANG!
I did stop by his booth and I think his fabric is beautiful for home decor!
Next I headed over to find the AMAZING Pat Sloan.
I've become friends with Pat through her blog and she is an awesome lady! She is just as sweet in person as she is on her blog.
I was also able to score a copy of Pat's new book. There are some darling applique quilts in this cute book. And it's signed by her! Thanks so much Pat!
Next I headed right over to the Riley Blake booth.
There were a few, okay maybe 5 quilts in that booth that I was ecstatic to see!
This fabric is Hooty Hoot Kangaroo and it was designed by Shari of Doohikey Designs for Riley Blake and I had the opportunity of quilting 5 of the quilts for her!
Next I headed over to the Accuquilt booth. I had to check out the new dies and the new Baby Go!
The baby Go! is so cute and so light but I still love my Go!
Their booth was covered in pink to celebrate this new baby girl Go!
They even had a cute stork!
I was able to buy a couple new dies and I can't wait to use them.

Day one was so exciting but day 2 was full of even more exciting things! I can't wait to share more tomorrow!!!

  9. Looks like a blast! Ty pennington has a fabric line??? I do NOT know how I feel about that! hmmmmm Actually I do. Unless he designs it himself, which I find unlikely, I find it gross marketing!
