Today I am honored to be able to share another Moda Bake Shop tutorial. As you know, I love precut fabrics. Head over to Moda Bake Shop to see the complete tutorial.
Many of you ask me where inspiration for these quits come from. All of our quilts have inspiration from different things that happen in our lives, places or events we visit, shapes and building or even nature.
This quilt in particular has a very unique source of inspiration.
Have you noticed the Make A Wish foundation of Utah over on the side bar.
Well, in March Kathleen attended the Make A Wish gala.
She was very inspired, inspired by the stories of the beautiful children who are living with and have passed away from life threatening illnesses. Attending the gala inspired her and together we created this quilt to help remind us that our lives are a gift. One of the Utah wishes will be featured this Sunday on Make Over Home Edition.
The Make-A-Wish Foundation grants the wishes of children with life-threatening medical conditions to enrich the human experience with hope, strength and joy. With the help of generous donors and volunteers, the Make-A-Wish Foundation of Utah granted 160 wishes last year. Located in its facility in Murray, A Wishing Place, the Foundation offers a quality wish experience that includes a magical wish-making ceremony in the Wishing Tower, special wish tokens to throw in a wish fountain, and plenty of room for wish-granting celebrations. Established in 1985, the Make-A-Wish Foundation of Utah is celebrating its 25th Anniversary and as part of the celebration will be granting their 2,500th wish this year. For more information about the Make-A-Wish Foundation and how you can get involved visit www.utah.wish.org.
I truly hope that you enjoy this quilt as much as I do.
