How to: Confetti Quilt Block - 30 Days of Sewing Quilt Blocks

Can you believe that we're already to block thirteen! This little challenge has been going on for almost two weeks! We've still got seventeen more blocks to go, and I'm still really excited to see where it will take me creatively!

Today's quilt block is:
Confetti
Make sure to scroll down to the bottom of the post and check out how adorable this quilt is in a quilt top! I love the two completely different looking quilts you can create from just one block, repeated.

Cutting:
(This block will finish at 12"x12" square, this would also be a great Jelly Roll quilt.)
White fabric - 3 - 2 1/2"x2 1/2" squares
2 - 2 1/2"x4 1/2" strips
2 - 2 1/2"x6 1/2" strips

Dark Gray fabric - 2 - 2 1/2"x2 1/2" squares

Pretty cool, and quick block isn't it! Now, let's put it together in a quilt top!
This version is more of a modern looking quilt. I really like it!

To make this version 96"x96" square you will need to make 64 blocks, put them together in eight rows of eight blocks.
You will need the following fabrics:
White fabric - 6 1/8 yards
Light Gray fabric - 1 5/8 yards
Dark Gray fabric - 1 yard
Blue fabric - 2 1/2 yards
How about this cool chain version! For this version I've just rotated every other block. It's pretty cool to see change by just one little rotation.

Hope you all enjoy! I'll be back tomorrow with another quilt block, click here to see all of the blocks so far.
