Chicks & Flowers - Edge to Edge Machine Quilting by Natalia Bonner

Over the last few months I've shared several of Cat's quilts. She's been one busy lady, UFO busting like crazy and I've had so much fun machine quilting quilts for her! Her quilts have all be so cute and unique!
This fun quilt was another darling quilt, I just love it!

I love the way the flowers are put together on this quilt, the way they are offset really creates a lot of interest.

Cat and I decided to machine quilt this quilt with a fun edge to edge flower & feather pattern. Cat is a pretty traditional quilter at heart, so this machine quilting pattern was pushing the limits, but I think it was the perfect fit for this fun quilt!

Thanks for letting me custom machine quilt your darling quilt Cat!

I used Quilters Dream Poly Deluxe Batting and So Fine! thread by Superior Threads.

  1. Really curios about this quilt which is taken from Ruth McDowell's Symmetry book, it's called Gazanias and the offset sewing technique has me bamboozled, Cat how did you go about constructing it ? I love your use of fabrics here and Natalia the quilting looks great !

  3. Such a unique quilt design -- I've never seen anything like it. The plaids are fun, and I am jealous of Cat's UFO-busting. I add projects to my queue faster than I can complete them and can't seem to stop. :-)

  4. I would love to know where to find the cute bird pattern on the edge of the quilt. I have a thing for chickens/birdies!
