Applique and Curved Piecing

I got caught up on my Bee Blocks for Tracey today.
She wanted a Cartwheel
This was my very first time to do curved piecing. I know it's not perfect but for my first time I think I did all right. :)
She also wanted a tree block.
You know me,
I have to do some applique,
and what started as one applique tree turned into an applique Forrest.
Hope that's okay Tracey!
Don't you just love Bee groups!
I am really having a lot of fun with this group. They have pushed me to learn new skills and improve on others!
Thanks ladies!

  3. I'm in a great bee, but I so want to be in a holiday bee like you are! Maybe we can start one next year. I'll ask you for advice - or you can do another one and invite me! :)

Oh, and your blocks look GREAT!

  5. Pretty good curved piecing. Why is it so intimidating? It is for me, anyway. I think your trees are super cute.

  6. They both look wonderful to me. I tend to be a mood quilter, so depends on my mood and something that motivates me. This week it is hexagons, lol. After that, I am thinking a few christmas quilts, so I can have them ready for the season. This time I will do one I can cut fast and sew by machine.

Like a lot of the other comments I would love to be in a Holiday Bee as well. If you remember, or continue to watch your blog, if you do such a bee, I'm in!

  11. A cartwheel? Could be a Christmas wreath too with the fun fabrics you chose - to go along with the fun trees.

  12. I haven't done bees or swaps in a while but maybe its time to jump back into them. I've been so inpsired by everything folks are showing off. And one of my favorite holiday quilts is made from swap blocks.
