Much needed weekend.

I hope you all had a fantastic long Labor Day weekend.
I did!
I spent a lot of time helping Kathleen piece her McCalls Design Star Challenge quilt. It's looking great, the main part of the quilt is all pieced now we just need to attach the borders!
THEN
My very NON-SPONTANEOUS husband did something spontaneous.
He booked a hotel room at this fun resort in the mountains about a half an hour away from our home. So we took a much needed break. I loved it, I had no cell phone service and it was fantastic!

I did have a few minutes to check out Flickr and found these two darling, I'm a little biased, projects.
Deep Blue Sea
Simple Circle Table Runner
Cara made the Simple Circles Table Runner and also shared it on Flickr.
I hope you all had a fantastic weekend as well!
I can't wait to hear what you did!

  1. Sounds like a lot of fun! We had a little get together for my husbands birthday, I made some pretty terrible cupcakes (really?!??...who messes up cupcakes? ME.), and I made some cute aprons for my daughter and her little friend who came over. All in all...a pretty good weekend. :)

  2. We spent the weekend day camping for our Nephew's wedding, so it was a nice weekend. No quilting done, just paddling and having fun, so once I clean all my pet hair up, I will sit and stitch today.

  4. Kudos to the hubby for thinking smart !

Yep, I got to sew all day yesterday and enjoyed in immensely.

By the way, you must have deleted the picture (from Flickr) that you use as your Blogger icon...it's missing on my sidebar where I see your latest blog posts !

  6. We got away for the weekend too and it was a blast. Oh, and my first bake shop tutorial is up today. I am so excited. Thanks for your help in answering my questions way back when this all started for me. You are amazing!
