I've had a lot of you ask to see me quilting.
So I decided to make a little video.
Quilting Pebbles is my go-to. I love them for background fillers and adding texture.

I have been thinking about trying this! It almost always looks good on a quilt, but now I just wish I had a longarm, it looks SOOO much easier!
ReplyDeleteAmazing!
ReplyDeleteThanks, that was great, very helpful.
ReplyDeleteWell aren't you the little expert! I can only hope one day that I can get my own long arm and be as good as you are :)
ReplyDeleteI am speechless.... this is amazing and you have truly mastered the technique! Beautiful!
ReplyDeleteOh my goodness! I'm intrigued and impressed and...I can't think of another appropriate "I" word! lol
ReplyDeleteOh wait...INSPIRED!!! :)
wow, thanks for sharing!!! I might have to try this!
ReplyDeleteThat is awesome Natalia! I have a question - does the youtube play back at normal speed? If so, I am amazed how fast you are!!
ReplyDeleteI have done this on small pieces and it uses a lot of thread. Do you use a lot more thread with pebbles? Love the look.
love it! now to find a quilt to try it on :)
ReplyDeletethis was very cool ; thanks for sharing ; do you do that free hand ?
ReplyDeleteI am working with some of the same fabric line ( that I got from you earlier this summer !! )
I love pebbles, they had such dimension especially on quilts with simple piecing and lots of open space. And you do it effortlessly!
ReplyDeleteI loved the video! Please post more!
ReplyDeleteWhoa I'm getting dizzy ~haha Beautiful work Natalia, you make it look so easy! I would love to give the pebbles a try sometime. They look so pretty.
ReplyDeleteGood golly Miss Natalia!!! I could watch you quilt all day! That is amazing how much precision you have at retracing the pebble lines, I would have double lines all over the place if I were to do that! Your skill is just unreal! I don't have a longarm, but maybe I can try that with my regular machine, would take TONS of practice I'm sure though!
ReplyDeletethis is amazing
ReplyDeleteWow! You're good at that! I love the pebble look.
ReplyDeleteNice filler idea. I was watching the way the needle was humming along, lol. I am still practicing speed and stitch length, so fun to see a long arm do it.
ReplyDeleteDebbie
Shew! That is amazing!!
ReplyDeleteGosh you make that look easy! Thanks for sharing!
ReplyDeleteWonderful video, I was transfixed to the screen. Such smooth movement on the machine. Also, I got my order today and would like to thank you for the 2 birthday fat qtrs. you sent. That was so sweet of you. Love your shop, Satisfied customer and blog reader, Linda A.
ReplyDeleteThank you! I'm am about to use pebbling on a quilt and I have been scouting about for a demo, just to remind me as I'm not a highly experienced free motioner. And your sewing machine sure is fast!
ReplyDeleteWOW, that was amazing to watch! Thanks !
ReplyDeleteWow, it looks so easy :o)
ReplyDeleteSo very pretty Natalia! The pebbles give it such GREAT texture!! Wishin' I had a longarm--ah well a girl can dream!
ReplyDeleteGosh, the longarm makes it look sooo easy, but I know that looks can be deceiving and that it is more complicated than it appears. Thanks for showing us... please post more... Loved it!
ReplyDeleteDid you do that one handed? ;o) My heck you're fast! Very cool. Loved the video. Makes me want a long arm, even more!
ReplyDeleteThat was awesome to watch. I don't know how you do it. I would get lost along the way and get off rhythm...it would turn out a total mess! Wish I had a longarm, and I wish I was able to do that!
ReplyDeleteThat was beautifully amazing. Truly a gift. Do your arms get tired? Do you get dizzy? Do you happen to have any helpful suggestions for us trying to learn on a regular machine? Maybe you have addressed these things on your Tuesday chats. Hopefully i can someday take part in one. Thanks for sharing.
ReplyDeleteLove the video! I have been wanting to try some free motion quilting on my regular machine...but am a little nervous! How do you stay relaxed when you quilt?
ReplyDeleteYou should make that into a screen saver. I was hypnotized. You make it look easy!
ReplyDeleteGreat video! I'm going to try this on my 'short arm'. I love the look of pebbles and you've inspired me to go ahead and give it a try. Thank you for the video.
ReplyDeleteYES, I liked the video......now I'd love to see a photo of the finished quilt.....gonna peruse your blog just a bit !
ReplyDeleteThanks for taking the time to film this.
So talented. Great ideas for piecing and quilting. Do you mind if I ask you what longarm machine you use? I am looking at purchasing one. Kind Regards, Jane
ReplyDeleteI appreciate this..been dreaming of trying it. I can stipple, loop, box and side to side ripple... now i will try being able to re-trace myself to get this pebble.. Thank you so much!!!
