Ashlee made this darling Simply Denim quilt using our Simply Denim tutorial.
I love how she did the strips going vertical instead of horizontal!
Super cute Ashlee!
Don't you just love her "W"
I machine quilted this for Ashlee and I love how it turned out!
If you have a lot of old denim laying around I'd suggest checking out this Simply Denim tutorial. I came up with this idea a few years back and have since altered it a little bit. But for now, this for me is much easier than all the denim quilts I made back in the day.

ReplyDeleteLove both denim quilt ideas!! Read you
ReplyDeletetutorial and have a suggestion for you, the inseam of levis will undo by
cutting a stitch or two at the hem and pulling the top thread. It is undone in a couple of minutes. Then use a rule and your cutter for the strips. Saves your hands from ripping. Thx's for your post...I'm off to cut some levis legs up. Saving legs only saves major space on your shelf.
This looks fantastic.
ReplyDeleteHow did you alter it? Did you make the width of the strips narrower?
