Bed of Tulilps

Last week I mentioned that I was finally going to machine quilt a quilt for my mom, Bed of Tulips, this was one of her quilts that she designed for McCalls Quilt Design Star Contest, this quilt has been hanging around the studio for about 8 months now and I finally took a couple days and quilted it.
I'm sure that someday Kathleen will write the pattern for this quilt, but in the meantime here is a little eye-candy. :)
Hope you're having a great Wednesday!! :)
Hope you're all up to something fun!

  1. I read your blog every day in my reader. I love everything I see but don't always stop by to tell you. When I saw this quilt I had to click through and leave a comment. Your Mom did an AMAZING job on this quilt. (Your quilting isn't too shabby either lol) I love how in one picture the corders look like petals but in another it looks like ribbons. The colors are wonderful and I also like how the borders are two colors. Another winner!

  6. I thought the quilts made for the McCall's Contest were all their property? Was this one the first entry or the first Challenge, I'm curious about the Guidelines she had for the Challenges.
