Daisies & Lattice

This quilt seems to be on every one's mind lately.
I've had a lot of e-mails after posting a picture of it in my studio, asking about it so I'll answer the questions here.
The quilt is named "Daisies & Lattice"
It is approx 80"x80"
Kathleen & I designed it a couple of years ago and we are hoping to have the pattern available soon.
A few fun facts.
The quilt won a blue ribbon here.

I am still really proud of this quilt, this was the first quilt that Kathleen and I designed and we really had no idea what we were doing. The applique is all turned under and all of the fling geese are 3 dimensional.

My studio!

Imagine the shock on my face this morning when Kathleen called me and said you may want to come check out the studio, we've made some changes. I have been patiently waiting to make changes but I was absolutely ecstatic that some kind fairies had done it for me!
I should have taken before pictures, it was in need of help.
Here are a few afters that I took this morning.
I love this one above! I actually have something cute on the wall above my conventional machine.
I didn't post any pics of my long arm because it has a "secret" quilt on it right now and I can't spoil that! :)
Thank you again little fairies! I can't wait to go to work on Tuesday!
Hope you're having a nice weekend!

Customer Quilts

As I have mentioned before I get so much joy from seeing your quilts. I am so honored when my customers purchase fabric from us then send me pictures of the finished quilt.
This one was made from an Oz Charm Pack by Jill.
I think that there is a tutorial for this pattern over @ Moda Bake Shop.
 I love it Jill!
Thanks for sharing.
If you've made something from materials that you've purchased from us we'd love to see it. E-mail me a picture.
Lynne recently made a quilt using our Simply Authentic tutorial. She decided to change some things and it go so well for, she has blogged about it here and here. Stop by and give her some advice.

My first quilt.

When I was growing up my mom owned a custom drapery and home decor shop. I, along with my sisters and brother spent a lot of time in the summers hanging out in the back room there. One summer I decided that I wanted to make a quilt. So I gathered up all of the scraps from the ladies, there were all sorts of scraps, tapestry's, woven,s, cottons, just about everything I could get my hands on. Then whenever there was a break on the machines I would jump in and sew on my quilt. I am thinking I was about eleven.
I was quite proud of this quilt.
After getting married it went into my cedar chest and it has stayed there until just recently. At one of my trunk shows I decided to share were I began.
The quilt isn't in the best shape, it's falling apart at the seams, half of the ties have come out, the binding is bad, but oh well, we all start somewhere.
Have you posted about your first quilt?
If so leave a link.
I'd love to check it out.
