Sparkle - A Christmas Sew Along - Cutting Instructions

Okay! I hope you've all got your fat quarters picked out and are ready to start chopping up your fabric! The pieces for this quilt a big, so the cutting is quick and easy!

Cut your pieces and then make sure to draw a diagonal line from corner to corner on 36 of the 4 7/8"x4 7/8" squares. My favorite marking pen is Mark-B-Gone.
Make sure to share your pictures over on instagram using #sparklexmassewalong

And, just in case you missed it, the fabric requirements are listed here.

  2. Thanks. I'm still pulling fabric, but I should be able to catch up with your QAL this week. Looking forward to the QAL. Going to be fun. Of course, I'll also be interested on any tips you can share to quilt it once we have it ready for free-motion quilting. :)

    1. You're not too far behind! I just shared the fabric requirements on Sunday! :) The instructions are pretty simple, you should have a completed top by the first of next week. Mine will be quilted with an edge to edge pattern.

  4. Natalia, I'm doing some cutting today. And I wanted to even out the different styles of fabric. For the green squares specifically I need to cut 7 of each green fq (plus 1 more). My problem is from one fq you can only cut six 6 1/4" squares. Is there some trick to getting more out of the fq or is it the wrong size square? If you could help me out that would be great. krystahiggins(at)gmail(dot)com
