Locket - An AGF Stitched FREE Pattern

I'm so in love right now, last week I gave my master bedroom a little make-over and I love it! I swear I give it a make-over every couple of months, but when you're a quilt maker you can do that, right?

This new quilt is called Locket, and it's a free Art Gallery Fabrics Stitched with Kimberly pattern.

You can download the pattern here, and watch a helpful Locket quilt video here.

For the last year or so, I've been crushing on mustard and navy blue, then when I saw that yummy text fabric I knew exactly what fabrics I'd be using for my Locket quilt.

The original quilt is designed by Kimberly using a few more colors, but because I love just simple, two and three color quilts. so I simplified my color palate.

The fabrics I used for my locket quilt are;

I decided to machine quilt my locket quilt with horizontal straight lines, I stitched my lines about 1/4" apart. I really love the crisp, yet simple element that they add to this quilt.
The fun text pillows, yes, I had to make some coordinating pillows, are from the pillow pattern in our book; Cabin Fever: 20 Modern Log Cabin Quilts, and the fabric that I used for them is HAH-24405 To Live By Peace.

Make sure to check out some fellow bloggers and their versions of the Locket quilt.

  6. I'm going to make this but use white pearl bracelets instead of the snow. Will it work with the other colors? Thank you. I think this is the prettiest quilt I have seen this year!

  7. I love your simple modern take on the pattern. The clean quilting lines really let the piecing be the stars of the quilt.
