What I'm Working On!

As I mentioned yesterday we had a very productive day. Now this morning while I stalk wait for the UPS man to deliver my thread I'm working on a little more applique.
This block is part of one of my new tutorials.
Here is the question I have.. I have chosen to applique all of those white pieces, I love applique, but I know that not everyone does. Do you think it would be a good idea to include the paper piecing template?
I would love to hear what you think.

  1. I VOTE FOR INCLUDING A PAPER PIECING TEMPLATE. I DON'T MIND APPLIQUE, BUT I DON'T KNOW ABOUT THOSE LITTLE PIECES. THANKS SO MUCH.

  2. I prefer applique over paper piecing, have no idea how to paper piece, and looks like too many steps;)

  3. I say include it if it's not too much trouble.

I s'pose it depends on how many of those little blocks there are.

And I can't wait to see it! It's about time for a pattern of your own. ;)

  4. I personally really enjoy paper piecing, but I know not everyone does. Lots of my quilting friends are intimidated to try it, but a simple piece like the corners of your blocks would be a great starter.

  5. I've never paper pieced, so I would say applique ; or both if no trouble .....

  6. I agree that you should consider including the paper pieced pattern as well. ~karen

  7. If a paper piecing template is readily available, I'd say include it by all means. I think a lot of quilters, particularly newer ones, are more frightened of applique than of a new piecing technique.

  8. go it both ways. I do both, but I guess it would depend on the number of blocks involved. Can't wait to see the finished product.

  9. Voting for Kathleen again -- thanks for the reminder!

I vote that you include a paper piecing template. That is a very pretty block.
