Marilyn made this beautiful scrappy quilt and sent it to me for some custom machine quilting. With this fun quilt I decided to keep the quilting a little bit soften than I usually quilt. So, through all of the scraps I machine quilted X's.
In all of of the negative, center spaces I quilted a fun version of an orange peel. I love the little bit of curvature that this added to the quilt.
Because the border is solid white I knew that it could really show off some fun machine quilting. So, I chose to continue the X's that I had quilted in the scrappy pattern into the border. I really love the little bit of interest that this added to the border.
