Remember back here when I pieced this quilt while watching the Biggest Loser? Well it's all quilted and bound and this morning it headed off to be given to the new parents!
I think it turned out really cute. The pattern is called Stacked Coins and it's by Amamda Jean of Moda Bake Shop.
I also got to take a little break from quilting and sewing this weekend!! We went ice skating.
I don't think I've been in at least 10 years so I was quite shaky at first but it was really fun! They even had little baby skates so Chesney was able to go too. She wouldn't stand up with her skates on so she spent most of the night in someones arms.
All of the girls. As you can tell we didn't have the best balance!
How was your weekend? Did you get to do anything fun or new?

Ice skating...looking like tons of fun! I love that quilt... how cute!
ReplyDeleteThose are neat skates, they sure have changed from the white ones I wore. We have lots of cold and no snow, so I bet the ice is nice and thick. I don't think my bones could take it though;)
ReplyDeleteWhen I was little, we had double runner skates that fit on our boots, great for the little ones.

I LOVE Chinese coin quilts! There's something about the rectangle, such a lovely shape!
ReplyDeleteAt my age I prefer to have my tail bone intact! I am sure if I skated I would soon land on it.
ReplyDeleteLove the picture! Chesney looks like she is wondering, "what's up?" Looks like a lot of fun.
ReplyDeletecute quilt! I haven't been ice skating in forever... I have roller skated a couple times in the last year though :).
