What you may not know about me.

Back in my former life.....
The pre-quilting crazy life.
I worked a "normal" job.
I commuted to work.
I was done @ 5 every day and had an hour for lunch.
I had holidays, weekends and evenings off.
Man, maybe I should have kept the "normal" life.
So what did I do?
I was a dental assistant, I did this for just over 6 years.
I truly enjoyed working in the dental field and absolutely loved all of my coworkers. I made some of my best friends working there.
Well anyways, one of the ladies that I worked with made this darling quilt for her daughters high school graduation.
At the bottom you can see that she embroidered all of the things that she was involved in during high school. She has been one busy girl!
After I finished quilting I spent a little bit of time working on a new Moda Bake Shop tutorial!
YAY!
This time I'm using a Half Moon Charm Pack.
May 7th is the big day!
AND we will have kits available for this tutorial!
YAY!
P.S. Half Moon materials are on sale today only @ Piece N Quilt, you may want to stock up.

  1. It is funny what gets us started. I was working in home care and started doing small wall hangings. Then the woman said she wanted to make braided chair pads. I used to braid, so I could make some. Searching for how to's found me in rug hooking and that is what I ended up doing. After a few years my rug hooking friend got me back into quilting, so that is where I am at again. I find that a lot of woman in the medical fields get into crafting, I think it is a stress relief.

  3. I started with making a quillow (quilt and pillow) for 4H when I was 12! It was soooo ugly but it had kittens on it and that's what was important at the time!! :)
